When new hires struggle with CRM basics, start by breaking down complex concepts into simple, bite-sized lessons. Use real-world examples that directly apply to their daily tasks. Encourage hands-on practice and let them navigate the system while you guide them through. Set up regular check-ins to reinforce learning and address any confusion. Create easy-to-follow reference materials they can revisit. Make learning interactive and relatable - when they see how CRM makes their job easier, retention will improve naturally.

In my experience, the first thing I like to do is isolate and offer true customer service and value to the new hires, individually. What I mean by this is, the first step is identifying each of the new hires learning styles. Some people learn different than others and approaching this was eliminates a lot of confusion and also embarrassment, which can turn people away from the idea quite quickly. Once identified, I would tailor the information and curate different training models. Such as, hands-on, real-life examples, a detailed break-down in written format and also a verbal discussion with Q&A.
