As a CAD user, you are the one who can listen to direction and utilize your creativity and time management skills. You are there to make ‘it happen’. So have a discussion with your manager and work on a plan together.

What I like to do whenever the project needs that little extra in order to feel new and fresh, are the next steps: 1. Meet all expectations for the project before anything else. Remember always to follow what NEEDS to be done before you could put your personal touch in this, that way if meets all the required criterias, then there wont be any problem to be creative. 2. Feel free to make changes, one everything works as should be, know its time to make some changes or swap some stuff with diferent stuff. Maybe there is a specific piece that you always use, but then you think a little bit further and you can replace it make it cheaper, pretier, or even more efficient. 3. Dont forget to ask you your superior before any changes.
