Things do change during the production period and everyone feels the pressure heat up as we get to opening night. It's important to keep all channels open and everyone speaking to each other even if the e.g. composer closes with the musicians ranks, tech director makes changes which might spoil the audiences experience, choreographer makes drastic changes to the set...the list goes on. It is important not to panic, take breath, pause, use diplomacy to edge everyone in the same direction. Have a plan B perhaps.
