Managing scheduling challenges in a cross-functional team involves open communication, collaboration, and flexibility. When I am in a situation like this, the first thing I do is to prioritize understanding team members’ constraints through sincere conversations and empathy, you never can tell, some of these may not be deliberate , time zone differences could be an example so I ensure schedules accommodate everyone, and also Syncing Trello, doc tools and Github activities to reflect on Slack can help in self-paced communication and this also resolves the problem. Clear expectations, regular check-ins to keep the team aligned. The Agile method must be applied in situations like this to ensure timely collaboration and success

Building a regular rhythm with your cross functional team is really important and often difficult to synchronise, getting a drumbeat with the team of regular touches/meetings/standups and driving each stakeholder group to participate regularly with their input sets a framework for the collaboration, then you need strong delivery management behind the scenes checking in and helping to align the stakeholder groups to the common team goals

I would review type of precedence diagram method being used across all cross functional teams project schedules and make sure it's in alignment with product work break down structure. In order to improve teams collaboration and success rate, i would think of introducing kanban boards and daily stand up meetings which can help teams to define, map, visualise, track and prioritize the work flows.
