It depends on the event, some events require technology to be working well. I think most of the typical points have been covered, however I would add that just having a back up plan is not enough. You will need to practice a switch over with the team to make sure in the event somthing happens midway, everyone will know what to do, this will make the switch almost seamless and avoid any confusion that may arise from the situation.

Nothing is impossible , just need some patience and need to work on it,use new technologies and test every stage. As mentioned even having backup material ,test equipment in advance and prepare for internet outages also are helpfull to prepare for major technical failure .

To prepare for potential technical failures during a crucial presentation, consider these strategies: 1. Backup Materials: Print copies of slides and key points. 2. Test Equipment: Arrive early to check all tech components. 3. Redundant Technology: Bring a second device with your presentation. 4. Simplified Visuals: Create clear slides that can be conveyed verbally if necessary. 5. Engage the Audience: Prepare for interactive Q&A to maintain engagement. 6. Detailed Action Plan: Use a troubleshooting guide for common tech issues. 7. Backup Power: Bring portable chargers and extension cords. 8. Calm Mindset: Maintain a positive attitude and confidence throughout.

Stay calm, professional and above all positive. We all have been in the industry long enough to know things happen sometime within but mostly outwith our control. Keeping a positive mindset filters out to others and can allow your workforce to come up with positive solutions that may not have been thought of previously.

Antes da Apresentação: Domine o conteúdo: Entenda tudo sobre sua apresentação. Tenha um plano B: Cópias impressas, resumo escrito, backup do arquivo. Teste tudo: Projetor, computador, microfone, internet. Pratique: Ensaie diversas vezes. Durante a Apresentação: Mantenha a calma: Respire fundo. Seja honesto: Admita se não souber a resposta. Use a linguagem corporal: Mostre confiança. Adapte-se: Ajuste sua apresentação se necessário. Ferramentas para Análise de Falhas: Análise de Causa Raiz (RCA): Encontre a origem do problema. Os 5 Porquês: Pergunte "por quê" repetidamente. Diagrama de Ishikawa: Visualize as causas. FMEA: Identifique falhas potenciais e prevenções.

It depends which failures are meant. If it is about technical failure of presentation itself or about failures of the software being presented In first case it is matter of backup, spare internet line, spare broadcasting software, spare accumulator and some human assistance in the background. In the second case, when there is a demo on the live environment is prepared I always have a presentation with screenshots of the process, so in case of any sort of failure I can switch to presentation. There are always spare data sets, for the second attempt if required. Having extra demo data helps also to do test run before the demo to validate environment, which rises level of confidence

It’s fine! Mess ups happen. Engaging in an active conversation with the audience can cover up for any tech failures. I will follow this up with emailing the attendees any key points of the presentation and give an option for exchange over a call later.

work with back office or IT team to make sure the possibility of a technical failure is minimal to none. do a trial run to make sure things are working as expected. have a back up plan or two in case of technical failures or other possible failure points.

In my Experience, we should adhere to this rule: the 5Ps: Perfect Preparation Prevents Poor Performance. Technical failure during presentation could be a disaster. Once during an auction between two Pillars in my industry, one didn't prepare well and the thing went the opposite. You could loose a chance , a Job , a deal, by just not being prepared.

Prepare a solid script that allows you to guide the session even if technical issues arise. Instead of relying solely on slides, use tools like discussions, open-ended questions, or real-time polls to maintain the audience's interest. Practice adapting your speech to these interactions, allowing participation to enrich the content and help convey your ideas in a memorable and collaborative way.
