No is a full sentence. Consider how else need can be met, whether its by delegating the task to someone who has the capacity to support or negotiating with the client a middle ground. Our well-being is our responsibility so we must ensure we look after ourselves.

Sometimes You may need to take a break and need to announce it way ahead to your clients. Clearly announce the deadline you may be back with the task or delegate the work to an internee, subordinate , colleague or your employee. Physical and mental health should be your priority but avoid over self victimisation and self pity. It can lead to procrastination and less productivity.

I believe that Meditation is the key to work life balance and for all the positive or negative thoughts. I personally feel and am experiencing since 4 years. Great to start from today.

One thing I found useful is harmonising work life by compensating the overwork with equal rest,recreation or delegating. Setting boundaries and clear communication is important and works well in some conditions, But can’t be done with dear ones. In real life personal priorities may require 24/7 dedication in some situations. I had this situation when my Father in law was bedridden for around 2 years and I had to take care of work, home and him. Working women usually face such conditions.
