Cloud computing and storage are already being used in various aspects of HIT, such as telehealth, artificial intelligence (AI), big data analytics, and internet of things (IoT). For instance, telehealth enables remote delivery of healthcare services and consultations, using cloud-based video conferencing, messaging, and monitoring tools. AI leverages cloud computing and storage to perform complex tasks, such as diagnosis, prediction, and recommendation, using machine learning, natural language processing, and computer vision. Big data analytics uses cloud computing and storage to collect, store, and analyze large volumes of structured and unstructured data, such as clinical, financial, and operational data, to generate insights and improve outcomes. IoT connects various devices and sensors, such as wearables, implants, and smart beds, to the cloud, to collect and transmit real-time data, such as vital signs, activity levels, and environmental factors.
