What do you do if your music is constantly rejected and criticized?

You have to separate yourself from what you produce as best you can. I tend to look at my music as an entity in situations like this. Analyze what you're doing and how you can fix it. Is your music or performance relevant to the situation and if not, how can you make it relevant? You can sulk for about a day but get up the next day and start doing your homework. Ask advice from a musician friend or former teacher. Only you can fix your situation so get over the emotions quickly and get back to working on your craft. Try looking for a different audience too...a place more relevant to what you produce.

One of the biggest mistakes artist do is present their music unfinished. Just because a song sounds good does not mean it is finished. The mix of a song is so important as is mastering your song. A song should be radio ready in any audition of your song Should the song be reject ask how you can make it better what is the source looking for Finally be willing to change your song in order to make it better Remember music is complex and it influences the heart and emotions most music that is a finished product will appeal to the heart so write from the heart and stay inspired and open to where the music takes you.

Music is a form of creative energy it is constantly evolving there is no one answer to the question. What may or may not relate to others will almost every time relate at a latter date. So of you love music continue to study and evolve with music that has so much power to change a heart a mind or situation. Warning though. Learn to write positive lyrics and music because the power music has influences the world and people in it. So use the craft of writing to do positive things and send out positive vibes and messages!! If you look back on the different eras of music notice the style and how and what became of humanities way of thinking.

All of the above is true! You have to find your own niche in the world of music. Dig deep and see what surfaces...what part of music you really love the most.

All personal achievement careers are like this. The creative arts are very subjective. One person may not like the way you sing an aria and don't think you look the part yet at the next audition, you might get hired for the same role immediately. You have to roll with it.

That's what I have always done. Music is me...it soothes me after all these difficult times. I even immersed myself even more after a breakup of a relationship..."I'll show him! I'll sing an aria or two!" Haha!

Make sure you're realistic about yourself and abilities...practical. For example I'm a high lyric Mezzo-soprano. I'm 5' 2". If I audition for some Wagnerian role I guarantee you I'll never be hired. But if I audition for a Rossinni role I will more realistically have a great chance of getting it. Like I commented previously you need to find your own niche.
