What do you do if your confidence is holding back your career as an interior designer?

According to my professional experience, I must say that exactly after knowing the cause of fear, this can help you and make you a better designer. Because, for example, every time you hear criticism or negative points, you can gain experience and improve day by day. Or if you have a weakness and lack of professional experience in a field, you can strengthen it.

Actually I find fear to be a good thing, if we manage it right. It pushes you to understand what you may think you might be lacking and to overcome it. Understanding and acknowledging fear is the first step for break free, learn more and grow personally and professionally. If you feel fear is more likely that you are out of your confort zone which mean your are growing. So embrace it, work on it and you will succeed!

Doing things you dont have all the skills to do is the basis of all growth. There is a world out there telling you you are not good enough but unless you put yourself out there they will be right and you never will be. Be yourself, put your best work into the world and keep moving forward. Lovers will love, haters will hate but unless you keep doping that you wont discuver where your tribe is... an there is one for you !!

Identify areas of apprehension, seek field professional discussion to achieve knowledge , growth , and security . Gaining multiple field perspectives builds balance for full picture confidence.

Oh I have been here and it's not a good place. I think it is as simple as being true to yourself, understanding why you feel this way, what your strengths area and improving on the areas where you need help. Surround yourself with good people, generous people who will give you time and whom you can learn from. Perhaps it is about going back to take courses to reeducate yourself or it's about taking a break and doing something different for a little while. As a business owner, I wear many hats, and it's easy to lose confidence. So much to think about, essentially the pressure and the onus are on you to constantly perform and deliver. If you can be true and kind to yourself the confidence always comes back.

Reflect on why your confidence is lacking. Are there specific aspects of your work or skills that you feel uncertain about? Understanding the root cause can help you devise a targeted plan for improvement.

Feeling less confident and how to overcome it... 1. Recognize the Fear: Acknowledging it and accepting, feeling less confident is normal and it's okay too... It’s a part of the learning and growing process in every profession. 2. Identify the Source: Trying to figure out the specific reasons behind this lack of confidence. Self confidence and self doubt are mirror images of each other....and exist within all of us. Even the most confident person carries self doubt within themselves. many years ago early in my career I had a moment where it just didn’t seem worth it. A client actually stood me up after a long 8 Hour Drive an uncomfortable hotel stay and an organized presentation when I arrived. The client actually was on vacation. He lied what’s new? I saw something on the wall that said “”rest if you must , just don’t quit, that was the best recipe for success I’ve ever had just stay focused do the best you can and inevitably you win !

Network is a key to success; Be Scholar forever; Try to be up to date on everything that happens in relation to interior design; Learn English and at least one more foreign language; Make true friends to the fullest, especially with people who admire aesthetics, arts and comfort; Do an internship with successful professionals; Travel somewhere you don't know yet at least once a year; Take care of your physical and mental health, rest whenever you can; As much as you can, family, friends and every living being. Don't give up on your dream.

I find working constantly boosting my confidence and I find sitting idle harmful to my state of mind. When it comes to design jobs, treat it like a research project. A good, well researched start is key, research your client, ask all the questions necessary and know about the site and it's limitations. Then you can create with freedom and then you create with creativity.

Sometimes it may not be due to having confidence or lack of it but rules& laws in new places. Immigrants often wait to get authorization to work. It has nothing to do with confidence& often a changing surroundings or circumstances. Many people learn and try to find opportunity. But as world has seen in recent times of corona virus, sometimes health and surroundings circumstances cause changes and people learn new things to find their skill sets. Design is a ability that doesn’t go away once we learn it.
