Furthermore, there are also many very generic (not developed with Systems Thinking in mind) applications that could be deployed effectively so quality and visual appeal are far more dependent on our tool deployment skills as well as ability to use Systems Thinking methods and techniques effectively rather than a particular tool or application. Personally, I usually build stock and flow diagrams with the help of IBM workflow automation software as with larger projects, automation could be of critial importance for keeping the ''live'' (updated automatically based on the new data recieved) stock and flow diagrams effective.
