The most important aspect is “understanding” the work life of Health care workers. 1) Superficial overview or an obligatory action plan shall deliver little or nothing. 2) A Leadership that is trained in Emotional Intelligence & leads by example - this behavior- these traits always trickle top down impacting all lines of command & thus decision making. 3) Genuinely believing in the power of “Internal Marketing” & that “Charity begins at home” & making it a part of the profit plan supported with numbers to ensure policy level shift. Last but not the least - Drafting a policy is one thing & implementing it succesfully quiet another thus, involving employee reps in this exercise is paramount.
