Aligning stakeholders’ expectations is quite challenging, particularly when there is a huge gap between the specification phase and the deployment phase. In my experience, pre-aligning with SMEs by sharing release notes before the production rollout is beneficial. If there is any deviation further, that would be considered as an incremental change as part of continuous improvement.

This structure ensures product development follows a scaled agile methodology, aligning with business needs and establishing clear accountability across the backlog.
