Adoption of any new technology or change for our employees is understandably daunting as it is difficult for manager initiating change to always put themselves in the employee shoes. Understanding what employee feels should be natural goal when undergoing change. One of the most important thing change manager can do is good, transparent communication which is sensitive and genuine and full of empathy. Benchmarking of successful examples of other similar adoption should be shared and explained. The answer to the question of “what is in it for me” cannot be underestimated. Ultimately automation does make things easy for oneself and how we can make the employee visualize this feeling before they actually feel and experience is key.
