Why let it hit you in the first place when you can prevent it? There are lots of technologies out there that can be utilized, AI, Machine Learning, Automation, Scripting, etc. Combine these technologies or create a platform that would predict future major failures in your network infra. Develop your people and train them so they can utilize these technologies. Invest. A lot of network outages also are caused by poor planning, lack of coordination, no prior testing before implementing in production. Looking into your current process particularly on Change Management and Project process and applying enough/proper scrutiny in every step would also significantly affect the success of any activity - therefore avoiding unnecessary outages.

Informed the stakeholders: Get in touch with the all the stakeholders and keep updated on the existing jobs status and probable completion status with existing challenges to handle their prospects. 4. Record all the action plan: Record all the actions that has taken to solve different issues and task completion for future challenges.
