As a provider of offshoring software development services, there are several steps that we take to ensure smooth and easy collaboration: 1. Do not distinguish in-house vs offshored team -> this opens the boundaries for collaboration and enables more self-responsibility and inclusion. 2. Define clear ways of communication -> be it mail, chat platforms, management tools etc. 3. Clearly state decision makers and their responsibilities -> This is true for in-house teams as well, but it is even more important when part of the team is offshored. 4. Embrace and recognise the cultural differences. 5. Setup clear expectations from the start from both sides -> What do you expect from the offshored team, but also what do they need from you.

In this case, 3 issues are important to me. First, the steps and scope of the work to be done should be clearly defined. Second, the team should empathize with each other. In order to achieve this, it is necessary to share outside of work and do team activities. For example, an online tea party every Friday, a birthday celebration or playing online games together. Third, to organize experience sharing meetings from time to time. The fact that some issues are conveyed to each other in different ways within the scope of work or in private life within the team will strengthen the bond between them.
