First, I reflect on how I approach challenges and setbacks. Do I view them as opportunities to learn, or do I shy away? I also actively seek feedback from my team on my approach to problem-solving and adaptability. This self-awareness helps me stay open to continuous learning and improvement. Sharing my learning experiences, especially the struggles, with my team is also crucial. It shows that it's okay not to have all the answers and that growth comes from embracing challenges. This approach not only keeps me evolving as a leader but also encourages my team to adopt a similar mindset. It creates a culture where everyone feels safe to take risks, make mistakes, and learn from them, driving innovation and progress.

I believe it's important to question yourself anytime you tell yourself that you can't do something. Is it because you truly can't or have you conditioned yourself to believe you can't. Challenge that status quo.

I believe it's important regardless of what stage you are at in your career to have mentors and coaches that can help challenge you for growth. If you don't have one seek out people that you look up to as you will be surprised how many would love to mentor someone for growth.

We talk about the concept of "born leaders" which is not helpful when looking to promote a growth mindset. It's important to encourage learning from challenges, emphasise effort and development not just innate ability, and foster a culture that embraces mistakes as opportunities for growth.
