Am I causing the conflict due to poor management or failure to properly support the team? Has the conflict been raised as an issue but been ignored? Only when starting with a clear understanding of the conflict can you begin to provide steps to manage it.

We had an awful experience with this. Two of my team literally hated each other and one was senior to the other. Even though they were virtual, it spilled across into the rest of the team. Team meetings on zoom were appalling. The senior team member received written warning in the end as she could not control her poor behaviour and left. If she hadn’t have left, she would have been asked to leave as despite having conversations and strategies, the behaviour didn’t improve. My mistake was leaving it too long. When she left it was like a weight had lifted. This was 16 months ago now and we’ve not had any issues since. Sometimes you just need to pull off the plaster and a lot faster than I did.
