In my experience, clashes between engineers and safety officers are inevitable, especially in newly formed teams. This is a normal part of team dynamics as individuals adjust to shared objectives and responsibilities. To address this, management must lead by example, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to both safety and operational goals. When leadership visibly prioritizes both aspects equally, it sets the tone for the rest of the team. Additionally, recognizing and rewarding behaviors that foster collaboration and adhere to safety protocols is essential. Positive reinforcement not only motivates individuals but also helps establish a culture where safety and productivity are viewed as complementary, not conflicting.

El hecho de tener una necesidad de producir una cantidad de tonelaje diaria no implica que se dejen de cumplir los estándares, procedimientos y regulaciones en cada proceso. Recordemos que la seguridad debe estar presente mucho antes que cualquier KPI que se deba alcanzar. Se debe realizar un análisis en base a la Curva "Bradley" para saber de qué punto estamos partiendo y cuales serán los próximos pasos que se tomarán para llegar un nivel de culura de seguridad interdependiente en el cual el trabajador no solo tenga un compromiso por su seguridad, sino tamibién por el cuidado de sus colegas.
