It is very important to network during conferences but when attendees at conferences have a conflicting network goals then the following should be considered. Common interests with regards to the participants. Clear intentions should be set and adaptability should be adhered to to encourage flexibility and excellent networking opportunities.

Prior to networking events, my team would have a pre-huddle and discuss our team goals. From there, individuals would share how their personal goal could/would feed into the overall objectives. If they didn’t, we had time to adjust. Honest and direct conversations are important when it comes to having a shared vision for goals during networking.
