7 reasons you’re tired of a vegan diet

If you are feeling tired with a vegan diet, there could be something wrong with what you are eating. Fatigue is a common problem with new vegans, but it doesn’t have to be! With just a few adjustments to your diet, you can start to feel energized and ready to go.

With the right balance and understanding what the body needs, a vegan diet can be just as, and possibly more, realistic and nutritious than any other way of eating. There is usually a simple solution to help you get your energy levels back to where they should be. But first, you have to find out why you are tired to begin with!

Reasons why you are tired of a vegan diet

1. You are not eating enough

The most obvious problem you might run into is that you just aren’t eat enough. This is a common problem, especially if you are going straight into veganism, as the vegan portion sizes are very different from what you may be used to.

Because a vegan diet is often lower in calories, protein, fat, and carbohydrates. You need to eat more food to make up for these losses. This means skipping conventional portions and eating until you are full.

This is a very important adjustment to make in your diet if you want to maintain a vegan diet.

2. You are deficient in nutrients

Another common reason you get tired of a vegan diet is because you are deficient in a vitamin or mineral.

This is a common problem, especially if you haven’t started eating a balanced vegan diet that contains a wide variety of plant foods.

7. You rely too much on substitutes

If you are new to veganism, you may be relying too much on vegan substitutes, such as meats, cheeses, and milks.

This is a common problem for new vegans because they feel like they need these elements in their diets. But you really don’t, at least not on a daily basis. These foods are great on occasion, but they shouldn’t be the bulk of your diet.

These foods, although vegan, are highly processed. They may be healthier than their non-vegan counterparts, but it’s always good to eat more whole foods.

These types of heavily processed foods can actually become very unhealthy if eaten too much. They can start to drain your energy instead of giving you more of it.
